Twin Cities’ most expensive home sales in September reach $7.6M
September’s most expensive home sales across the Twin Cities metro reached as high as $7.6 million.
The priciest home sale of the month, located at 19955 Cottagewood Ave. in Deephaven, also secured the top price of the year so far. More details about that home can be found on this previous Business Journal report and in the photos above.
The $7.6 million sale price was a big jump from the second-ranked home sale on September’s top 10 list. That was the $5.4 million sale of a Minnetonka home, a price similar to August’s priciest sale, which took place in Orono for $5.8 million.
Most of the September homes were sold in the Lake Minnetonka area, save for four homes. Eden Prairie was responsible for two homes on the list. Meanwhile, Prior Lake and Medina each had one.
There have only been a few residential properties this year that have sold for over $7 million. Another Deephaven home in May sold for $7 million, and in February an Orono home sold for $7.5 million.
